The APM Foundation Story

Money without wisdom will not stay around.

APM Foundation co-founders Wayne Rogers and Buddy Camper first became best friends when they attended tiny Grand Saline High School in East Texas. The years were the early nineteen sixties.

After college, they took different career paths. Wayne headed for the infant Silicone Valley in California and started his own electronics companies while Buddy remained in Texas and built a successful publishing company of newspapers and magazines. Both had blessed and successful careers. Each sold their various companies, retired young and began a search for God's purpose for their futures.

Both friends decided “it’s time to give back.” They agreed to develop a financial educational ministry, teaching Christians how to grow, protect and use the assets God has entrusted to them.

Wayne and Buddy would personally fund the ministry as a foundation, through a permanent endowment. The APM Foundation, a non-profit foundation, was formed specifically for the purpose. They would not accept donations, love offerings or gifts from anyone. They had freed themselves to provide Christians with the best financial education and advice possible, without the influence of financial companies and institutions.

Other Christian financial professionals and educators joined the APM Foundation staff as the ministry grew. They would preach and teach biblical financial wisdom combined with modern strategies. All would be done for Churches and Christians, no cost. Any funds generated by linking Christians with banks, companies and trusted financial providers would be used to support missions, ministries and Kingdom projects.

APM Foundation educators would teach that God has created each of us for a purpose. Their goal is to help Christians discover that purpose and use God’s financial gifts and blessings as tools to help achieve that purpose.

The ministry rapidly grew nationwide, added several divisions including a church financing arm and is endorsed enthusiastically by organizations, churches and members throughout the states. Over the years it has provided hundreds of thousands of dollars for Christian missions and missionaries throughout the world.

And the blessings all started when the two life long best friends decided it was time to get on God's plan for their lives and make a difference.
